but personally I think that having the county TLD’s slapped all over :

Aren’t they only having the country tags for .com and .net?
So for the Tennis Court example it wouldn’t be that bad!

Yeah, that’s a good point, if City Boxing sold internationally they may now have a tough time selling to a US or UK audience.
Not only that, but showing the region so obviously might actually harm the click through rates of sites that legitimately target (and sell) internationally.
