Botnet takes webmasterworld offline

Brett Tabke posted Early on Davidnaylor.co.uk that a massive proxy bot attack took down webmasterworld numerous times.

after a massive proxy bot attack from the UK and europe late last week. Several noticed we were offline numerous times last week for that reason.

I still think it’s pretty amazing that people still waste time and effort in attacking websites, I just don’t get it at all.

“massive bot attack” sounds painful - especially as someone gave it to him numerous times - ouch!

I wonder how much Danny would have to have paid, to get threadwatch closed down… :-)

btw. I love the DaveN ads: “Shop Brett Tabke - Browse and compare a great selection of Brett Tabke” :-)
(… unfortunatly the link apparently didn´t work - just got an error message…)
