Car Bombs London

Sometimes you just think wow that was close, most times I don’t really think about this kind of stuff, but this could have been close.

Anyway I left the Mintleaf on the night the car bombs where dumped in London.. ok I didn’t see anything, but i Jumped in a Taxi around 1:30am, the first car bomb was found 30 minutes later.

The car bombs could have been there while I was messing around outside the Mintleaf, Maybe I should have left with Danny. He is more worried at the moment about how the Search Engines reported the facts lol… me I was just worried about not getting my arse blown off :)

Shit, I knew we were near them in the area, but damn - we were really near. Plus, looks like I walked right past 3 on the way to Piccadilly.

Remember me saying how weird it was that I couldn’t get a cell phone signal? That happened several times that night, no signal at all. I wondered later if it was because the police had shut down the cell system because of finding the bomb. But it was too early in the night before it was discovered. So, just crap T-Mobile, eh?

And remember, Dave — you’ve got such a big arse that it would be hard to blow it all off.

All seems a bit convenient for me this car bomb stuff. Doesn’t really seem to fit AQ’s MO either…

    Create the ph33r!

Bombs? That’s a fairly loose description of what was actually found.

See this deconstruction to see how little the threat from these things really was…

I wonder has the usually extremely civil Mr Sullivan just left one of those quotes that’s going to follow him around for the rest of his life?

I don’t know what’s funnier - the quote, or the thought of an American using the phrase arse. I think you’ve been well and truly Anglo-fied Mr Sullivan.

On a serious note, it’s actually very scary. Luckily no one was harmed by it all.

Bloody hell, that was close. I fell out of the Mintleaf at about 12.30am, but it wasn’t until a saw your map that I realised just how near we were.

So, has anybody seen anything to suggest that these were truly dangerous devices. Descriptions so far suggest a nice fiery display but little real damage — just like the flaming car in Glasgow. Bullshit and Psy-Ops, say I. In fact, I maintain that the average American and the average Brit is more at risk from bacon or sausage than from terrorism.

It was close and I didn’t relise at the time how close! I left Mintleaf at 12.30am and we walked straight past where number 1 would have been placed an hour later
