Mar http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/archives/2005/04/21/things-you-dont-want-to-see/
Feb http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/
Toolbar says:
Pagerank 6 http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/
Pagerank 4 http://www.davidnaylor.co.uk/archives/2005/04/21/things-you-dont-want-to-see/

I believe Google have said before that the toolbar PR export is a snapshot taken from some point in the past and not necessarily of the date that the export occurs - so it’s possible that the recent toolbar PR update was using values from Feb this year?
Im in a similar situation. I have a page about matt cutts which when it had a PR 4 and the homepage was pr 5 it was saying in webmaster central it has a higher PR
It’s obvious that it’s taken either from two different sources of data; I’m leaning on what Robzz says..that the data displayed in the toolbar is from a while back.
What’s with the “Googlebot last visited …” as well Dave ?
WC says 9th - the serps say yesterday !
Dave comments like these will get Vanessa mad at you…..
I have read so many blogs and SEOs praising WebMaster Central and telling the world what a great tool WebMaster Central has become for webmasters but as someone who works 100% of his time on websites, I’m sorry, but I just don’t get it.
Where’s the beef ?
What is it in Webmaster Central that’s so valuable to me as a webmaster ? The link reports that don’t even tell me which sites the links are coming from ? The robots.txt tester that has to wait 24 hours before caching a new version of robots.txt once I’ve changed it? Or am I missing something ??
I think Webmaster Central is just a PR move by Google so that they can say they’re doing something to help out the Webmasters…other than get them penalized for having non-AdSense paid links on their site.
Take a look at what it says right now for last March and then watch and see that next month Google will rewrite history again, by telling you something completely different about what it did in March.
There appear to be some bugs in the way that the data is processed or presented.
This is exactly what I expected to find out after reading the title Google Toolbar or Webmastercentral. Thanks for informative article
