Rumours: Forbes Given Final warning

Rumours are that Forbes have been warned to stop selling links that are trying to influence the search engine results downside is if they have a 12 months contract to supply in that format it could get a little messy LOl.

And the question I would ask is why do 90% of Forbes Ads go via the Forbes ad system and one company get straight links, if I was advertising on Forbes I wouldn’t be happy :(

So, what could happen? Will Google penalize the buyer or the seller? Or only take away the link juice?

So I guess the new technique Cutts was talking about was straight up one on one threats to link sellers. Simple and effective, NOT :D

Since algorithms don’t give out warnings, I guess that means Google doesn’t penalize paid links algorithmically. So if you’re a small time link seller, you got nothing to worry about - Google will work its way top-down.

Hmm not sure about that one Halfdeck. Advertising budgets talk in this business, the ‘little guy’ often get more shafted by these kind of changes than the big corp. Also the big corps get the benefit of a rep to advise them on compliance. *cough* BMW *cough*
