StrikePoint Show 24th April

On the show last night I was doing my normal searching on the web as we were talking about a particular topic. At the time we were talking generally about Google and the bad targetting of ads. I was just doing a couple of searches on phrases that I presumed would be totally clean but I was surprised with what I found… well in fact I wasn’t that surprised!

So first off I searched for Children for sex and if people from the UK Government site for public services, www.direct.gov.uk, knew they were appearing in this search I think a few heads would roll. Other sites appearing are adult sex sites but also baby gender sites.

Another favourite search of mine is Buy Viagra UK. I didn’t think that Shopping.net and Amazon sold Viagra??

And I won’t go into the search I did for uk flag in Google images with safesearch off…. certainly not a UK flag…. !!

Oh now come on, Dave…if YOU had a site with Amazon’s PR, tell me you wouldn’t use it to sell Viagra!

here in the us we have much more relevant ads for “children for sex” the currrent #2 ad is for criminal attorneys specializing in child crimes. i think i’d rather see a government site anyday.

In the US we got a bunch of UK spammers in the top 10 in Google for “Viagra” so it looks like you guys are still good over here. ;)
