MSN Search can they make it

Has MSN SEARCH missed the boat, or is it just me, I hear the term “I Googled for” when it should be I searched for, Has Google stolen the search product industry,

like Sony Walkman did with the personal stereo
like Hoover did with the Vacuum Cleaner
like Biro did with the ballpoint pen
like Velux did with roof windows and skylights
like Johnson & Johnson (band-aid) did with plastic adhesive bandages

to me when people say do you use MSN I think Microsoft Instant Messenger.. .. is it just me ?? btw if you ever hear me say “I Googled for (insert keyword)” shoot me :)

Or the opposite. Hasn’t google lost it seeing as how everyone calls all searching “googling”, just as all portable music players ar a “walkman” and all tissues are “kleenex” and all soda’s are “cokes”.

Brand dilution at its finest. Eventually it’ll be “google it on MSN”. Okay, that’s a stretch, but still.

I think they’ll make it - one day. They just don’t have the temporal depth of data to compete at the moment. They can either stick it out, or try and buy some old log files.

What’s L$ stock go for these days?
