how hard is it to rank for a foreign word : angielski is polish for English, this is an English blog, hosted in Germany and I’m targeting the polish WORD for English Angielski
so will one or two Polsko słowa like Angielski or Anglia do the trick … I don’t know .. just off to register a .pl and get some polish hosting to see how that works out in the .com serps

Anyway I had been looking for a solution that i can install on a shared box that that I didn't have root access on.
Anyway My test is coming to an end, and I going to try and score a deal on a multiple domain license, or even try and buy a lump of the company lol

Wow, I’m impressed of your knowlage of polish. Should be “so will one or two polskie słowa jak angielski albo Anglia”. ;) And answering your question - your domain has some love from G, PR6 and so on but… I wish you luck, I think you wont get for SERPS into polish google for world angielski, but I think you will rank high for google.com or/and google.co.uk for this world.

And isn’t the polish SERPs the same as the English SERPs? I know that the Korean SERPs are the same.

The sad thing is most of the Poles concentrate their efforts on ranking for English words, or haven’t got a clue. In Poland it is only recently that Google has become a major concern, as many just use onet.pl or wp.pl for search.
An authority site in Poland is rarely more than PR5
Onet is the largest site in Poland, and only a PR7
Despite the fact it is a foreign language site, in a country not exactly served by Amazon, it still has an Alexa of 49
Why Google doesn’t attribute significant authority to Polish authority domains is just a mystery.
Daehe: No, he is not ranking in first top50 results for word angielski in polish google (didn’t bother to search for more than top50). And no, polish google is giving a way other results than internation one. It gives you mainly polish pages, so as I said before. Dave will not get into SERPS for this world in polish google, ’cause serps for this word are pretty strong (many polish seo compete for it). Dave need some good links from polish pages to rank for angieslki in google.pl ;)
