Affiliate Link Building – Link Farm Evolution
We’ve been looking around at tools for fast and automated link building today, as “back in the day” and still today by some people, a common strategy, frequently used by affiliates is to build up a Micro site that either targets a small part of there Niche or a single Key Phrase. This entire process (excluding initially highlighting the niche) can be automated via the use of Scrapers.
So the Micro Site gets built, seeded, then is automaticly link built to using a tool. It will then usually rank pretty quickly, the length of time it ranks for before being banned or penalised really depends on how bad the links are and how competitive the area is. The site will inevitably end up burnt by Google. Its then a case of rinsing and repeating again. Each time making a profit.
To make the process even easier its sometimes beneficial to piggy back of someone elses authority. Simply find somewhere, where you can setup your own profile and then automaticly link build to that, the sites existing authority will immediately bump you in the right direction. A really great example of this can be seen best on Bing:
Dave has given me authorisation today to go out and buy Link Farm Evolution (affiliate link), this product has really nailed the automated process I’ve described above well. Integrated with WordPress, Pligg and Blogger it provides the capability to roll out large volumes of links fast.

http://seouxindianer.de/blog/In my opinion it’s these kind of posts which turn SEO interested readers in unexperienced spammers. Be careful of what you are promoting..

http://houseeros.com/It could be worded in a way that doesn’t sound like it is promoting a link farm/spam product with what appears to be an affiliate link to that product cloaked by one of the url shortening services.

Have you found that the parasite hosting approach keeps your sites from getting burnt by G (since you’re essentially running through a link middleman)?
Also, will you be doing a follow-up post on your experiences w/ LFE? Feel free to email me your thoughts on LFE if you prefer to keep it on the DL.
Happy to give you an aff commission for the effort when I decide to dive in and run my own tests.
Disclaimer: of course I would only be using this product for “research” purposes. I simply want to gain a better understanding of how the algos work with the intention of making myself a stronger whitehat.

@House Eros It could be worded in a way that doesn’t sound like it is promoting a link farm/spam product
why that actually what it is
with what appears to be an affiliate link to that product cloaked by one of the url shortening services.

good on you dave! and i completely agree. so what if people perceive this to be wrong. the bottom line is there is a tool out there to “help” (and i’m using that term loosely) with certain aspects of link building and if people MISUSE it and get burned that’s their problem!
it’s the old wh/bh parabol again. if you don’t know what’s out there how can you diagnose why some one is dominating your niche.
and also, playing with tools like xrumer, LFE, autopligg etc is alot of fun; even if it is for test purposes

I’ve been using LFE for a while now and I have to say it never fails to amaze me… It’s basically xrumer for wordpress MU sites and it’s pretty damn powerful in the way it completely automates account registrations and posting. I’m sure you’ll find it works, I know I have!

Looks very interesting and if used moderately I can see it being valueable without to much issues. Would save hours and hours of ‘natural’ link building in a week. I dont do any high volume of link building this way at the moment, however I have considered using Posterous as a free service to post news articles to multipe micro-blogs.
Posterous obviously doesnt support comment posting, but you can post articles to accounts on: Blogger, Typepad, WordPress, Movable Type, Live Journal, Tumblr, Xanga and more.
Has anyone use Posterous this way?

If you plan carefully you DON’T lose the links you’ve set up.
Don’t interlink all nodes
Link externally to established authority sites
Put a couple of genuine NONE linked posts up first
Add content regularly
Has about a 60% sticky rate. So lose maybe 40% of sites, but I built 200 a day , 5 days a week for a month, and continue to add content. I now have 3000 site link farm – some of my pages are up to PR3 already.
Use in conjunction with other linking methods
Bookmark using various BM sites ( a few BM’s for each node, but again mix up style/date/number and type of bookmark…digg, tumblr, reddit etc)
Create and submit mixed/multi URL feeds with feed combining tools
I rank 2 for “weight loss” in the UK and not less than 8th worldwide with a 7 week old site. (yup – check it out) – that’s four and a half thousand uniques a day and over $220 average from ONE 7 week old site.
Using LFE as part of a larger strategy works.
But it takes work, even BH stuff requires many hours work. and if you use a transparent link building method you WILL get burnt and fail.
