I have various Adwords campaigns running both as part of my work here and personally, but I have one campaign where dynamic keyword insertion is not working yet the others are. Right now I don’t have time to contact the rep
You know the way of getting the ad to show the keyword/phrase that was searched for?
Buy {Keyword:Some Backup Phrase}
If I leave the backup empty I even get a blank space on the ad on the search network.
Now I am going mental trying to get this to work on one particular account. Hell, I even copied it several times, just to make doubly sure! You’ve got to believe that I tried a lot of options before posting here.
I even searched Google and found other people have reported this.
Has anyone else seen this or know what gives, as right now my ads are as cack as cack can be?

I have had it where the ad displays dynamic text ok, but only if you have the exact phrase in your keywords list. Not great then if you are largely on broad search terms, but not such a prob with long tail keywords.

I have seen this recently, but it sorted itself out soon enough.
I think you’ll have to call the big G if it’s continuing…

I got the same problem on one of my campaigns.
The default phrase is used like 95% of the time instead of the dynamic keyword. Can’t find a way to make it work either.7th June 2007 @ 10:37

My colleagues from paid search here at Onetomarket have never seen this happen to them Richard… Totally new for us.

okay found out from a post by Reprise Media’s Peter Hershberg that keyword insert is not used when a keyword is low on the Google QS.

I’ve seen this happen before from time to time, although it ended up being fixed as soon as it appeared. Obviously there’s no way to verify how many ads were served up to people that contained the bad ad copy.
I guess the only thing you can do is edit the ad copy when you notice it. Do you have a screen capture of the bad ad copy? Or is this a keyword that you don’t want anyone to know about?
