We’re writing to notify you that your Microsoft adCenter Terms and Conditions are updated. The changes take effect on April 30, 2007.

This One caught my eye:

* Microsoft may use matching criteria other than keyword searches to display your advertisements.

this is either way cool, or plain dumb … fingers crossed it’s way cool.

I took that to mean that they’d be showing our ads on their new content network now, and not just search–without giving us a way to opt out of content. Is that how you read it?

I thought it meant they’d use other analytics, such as from a users IM and email to serve them relevant ads. – A tiny bit like google using the web history for various means. I just hope it works better for Microsoft than the Google Dice which keep showing me SEO/SEM sites and Welsh translation tools!

hmm i misread it, i thought it had to do with the new quality score… but i wonder how they’ll use it… maybe there coming out with a publisher side to adcenter.
